Even when this sensor is activated and the head is away from the disc you can carry on shooting. An internal memory buffer kicks in and records the new data until the hard drive is back online it is then transferred back.

This clever little baby holds as much as 28 DVD's and can record upto 36 hours in long play mode which is more than ample for most users.

The 42X optical zoom can fill the 2.7inch LCD screen with even the most distant of subjects. And because the zoom is optical rather than digital you don't lose any quality.

The camera can record in a 16:9 aspect ratio, which makes it ideal for viewing on the now popular wide screen TV's.
